Toal secures Centurion ride

BJ Toal, former Yamaha R6 Cup Champion has been confirmed to join the Centurion Honda team for the remainder of the British Supersport season.

The 22 year-old is replacing Tom Grant and will now take up position as the team’s second rider. He is to partner Dan Cooper, who currently occupies fourth place in the overall championship standings.

At the beginning of 2009, Toal held a seat in Superstock with the Relentless Suzuki outfit, however his strong outing as a guest racer for the Centurion team at Mallory Park, in which he finished sixth, has earned him a seat for the rest of the season.

Commenting on the move, Toal said: “I would really like to thank the whole of Centurion Racing for giving me this opportunity. I am really looking forward to getting out on the bike for the first time and can’t wait to get stuck in with everyone in the team and have some fun.”
