Bad luck for Bridewell, again

Tom Bridewell was out of luck once again in the Italian Superstock Challenge, after a disappointing weekend at Monza.

Bridewell scored nothing in the opening round, after the Assen meeting was a weather washout. Monza was sunnier, but Tom spent plenty of time qualifying and setting up his new Yamaha R1 machine. In the race, Bridewell was running in 10th place when the red flag came out, due to an incident.

Having been re-started, Bridewell got a good start in part two of the race, but had to take evasive action to miss a fallen rider. The result was a poor 18th place at the flag.

“The result doesn’t show the whole story,” said Bridewell, “and I was in the wrong place, at the wrong time. But on the upside I was two seconds a lap faster and as next week’s race is also at Monza, I am hopeful of a decent result.”
