Bridewell warms up for 2009
Tommy Bridewell has been getting some practice sessions in for his FIM European-based Superstock series campaign in 2009.
The British rider is part of the Lorenzini by Leoni Yamaha team, based in Italy and rides alongside Niccolo Rosso and Michele Pirro. A three day test at Cartegena circuit in Spain saw Bridewell running a best lap time of 1m 35.1, just a tenth of a second outside the Superbike lap record at the track.
Not surprisingly, Tommy was delighted with the test, which was blessed with good weather and no mechanical gremlins. “The bike feels fantastic – the R1 will be the one to beat this year.”
Tommy will be racing with the number 46 on his superstock Yamaha R1, in memory of his brother Ollie.
