Yamaha tie up sponsorship deal
Yamaha has secured a cash boost ahead of this weekend’s WSB round in Monza after securing a sponsorship deal with Italian food brand Sterilgarda.
The agreement will see the Sterilgarda name take up prominent positions on the fairings of the Yamaha R1 bikes raced by Ben Spies, currently second in the championship, and British rider Tom Sykes at selected races throughout the remainder of the 2009 season, starting at Monza this weekend.
Sterilgarda already has a presence in World Superbikes, sponsoring the Ducati satellite team BRC – current employers of 2008 British Superbikes champion Shane Byrne.
