This new portable disc lock and alarm, made by Abus of Germany, offers a real deterrent to the casual thief who might be browsing the bike parking bays in your town or city.
The Abus Detecto product snaps on, with a one-handed action similar to a stapler, making it very convenient for daily use when commuting. Riders of smaller machines like 125cc novice bikes, lightweight scooters or perhaps mid-range `naked’ models like the ER6, CB500, Gladius or Hornet, will also appreciate that the Detecto can help keep their insurance premiums low, by offering an easy-to-use, anti-theft device. You can fit this small lock and alarm into the compact underseat storage area on most modern machines.
