Acumen gets an iPhone case
The Acumen charger has a new i-phone style black case for 2010.
The British electronics specialist has been making its Platinum charger for some years, which can test, maintain and recover all types of motorcycle battery, including the maintenance-free and gel types. That makes it ideal for any biker’s garage this winter, as lack of use can soon flatten your machine’s battery.
The 2010 version gets an aluminium black coloured case and inside the Acumen a new software package helps make sure that battery charging is only delivered when its needed. If the battery is fully charged, the Acumen will drop its power feed to zero, only kicking in if its computer chip senses that the battery power level is low.
Also new for 2010, the Acumen’s LED display lights, showing charge levels, polarity, recovery mode etc. have been increased in size to make them easier to see.
Priced at £49.99 the Acumen charger comes with a three metre extension lead, waterproof cable and a wall bracket, to make storage neat and tidy.
