Dunlop Sportmax Qualifier tyre
Tyre manufacturer Dunlop, official supplier to the 125 and 250cc MotoGP championships, has launched a second version of their popular Sportmax Qualifier tyre.
The tyre, which is ideal for Supersport type machines, is designed to warm up rapidly, has enhanced wet weather grip and lasts longer. The Qualifier II has multi-tread technology and is manufactured to offer excellent grip, especially when the rider accelerates hard out of corners. Dunlop has put the knowledge it has acquired in Moto GP road racing to full use in this tyre.
Technically, the new Qualifier has a new dispersible silica in its compound, with a new blending process that places ultra fine carbon particles in the shoulder of the tyre’s carcass. What does that science mean? Warmer tyres, especially at the edges, where grip is crucial. Put simply, the Qualifier gets warmer, quicker, when the rider is cornering hard and that translates into more confident cornering and high speed handling.
Available in a wide variety of sizes, the Dunlop Sportmax Qualifier II is in the shops now.
