KBC offer 5 year warranty
KBC helmets are now offering a five year warranty across their helmet range. Very few helmet manufacturers offer such a warranty, and KBC say that `defects in materials or workmanship’ will, at the company’s discretion, prompt either repair, or replacement of the helmet.
Loz Broers, Product Manager for KBC helmets Europe said, “We go to extreme lengths and through rigorous quality controls and checks, so offering a 5-year warranty proves the confidence we have in KBC helmets.”
The warranty from Korean company KBC is impressive, given that most helmet manufacturers recommend a lifespan of around 5-7 years as the maximum for any helmet, depending on hours of use, exposure to extreme climate variations, or the gradual wear and tear suffered by the EPS ( expanded polystyrene) inner layer, which absorbs much of the impact in a crash.
