Body armour is strongly recommended for all sportbike riders, whether riding on the road or track. Knox are based in the UK and manufacture body armour used by top racers in BSB, WSB, the Isle of Man TT races etc.
Now Knox UK have launched the Contour back protector, which is designed with the female form in mind. The Contour is worn by Maria Costello MBE, who wears the protector whilst racing at the TT or on short circuits.There are five different sizes, plus a Small Race version, with extra protection of the coccyx.
At 600g, the Contour is the lightest back protector which meets Level 2 of the EN1621 - 2CE standard. Sounds typically EU dull, but it is a rating system for impact absorption and it is the highest rating currently available.
