Luggage Kit for new Harley XR1200
Harley-Davidson have announced a range of touring accessories for their new XR1200 Flat-tracker styled bike, including a tank bag, and matching tail pack/panniers.
The tank bag is made from UV and weather-resistant nylon, featuring a double-sided map pocket on the top, plus an electronics port. The bag has a 5lbs carrying limit, and with its expandable 3.5 inch section extended has some 555 cubic inches of capacity. There are three smaller compartments inside the main internal storage space, and the semi-rigid construction helps keep the shape of each compartment. There’s a quick release clip system to allow access to the filler cap when you stop for fuel too.
The tail pack is also made from UV and weather-resistant nylon, semi-rigid and built to last. The tail pack is pretty clever and converts into a rucksack when off the bike. It also has two little side sections, pus a cargo net on the top of the tail pack.
A carrying capacity of 10lbs or 1040 cubic inches gives enough space for a long weekend away. All sections have sturdy zippers to help keep the elements at bay whilst you travel.
