R&G Racing are the first company to produce a tail tidy for the new Honda Fireblade along with a full crash protection range.The R&G tail tidy allows owners of the new superbike to eliminate the stock bulky number plate hanger on the seat unit, leaving the Blade’s flowing tail design to remain unspoilt as Honda’s designers intended.
Though the tail tidy appears a simple looking unit, the move from underseat pipes on the 2008 Fireblade means the original plate hanger is a complicated affair, incorporating a storage compartment and tool tray. R&G invested heavily into the CAD design and moulding required to produce this intricate, yet subtle, unit that still allocates these features.
Finished in unpainted plastic that mirrors the original, the robust tail tidy, the 63rd to be offered for bikes from R&G, features three ultra bright number plate lights and allows the original indicators to be retained or replaced with micro units (also available from R&G).
As R&G have been the authority for crash protection in the UK since 2002, they’ve been equally as quick in providing a comprehensive range for those wishing to keep their new Fireblades in pristine condition.
The R&G protectors available cover areas on the machine most likely to be affected by a spill, mounting from the frame, swingarm, forks, bars and spindles. Much more than just plastic held on by bolts, the high-density Polyethylene (HDPE) bungs are designed to wear and not shatter while the particular grade of steel bolts help to absorb impact by bending, rather than snap or twist their mounting points on the bike.
