Zodiac reverse gear kit for H-D bikes
Tired of pushing your Harley-Davidson out from a tight parking space, or hauling it backwards against a camber? Well, Zodiac Performance Products in Holland have the answer, in the shape of their reverse gear kit.
The kit is CNC-machined in Holland, with an aluminium housing and hardened steel gear cogs. The complete unit fits between the trap door of the transmission and the clutch cover. It has a hand-operated gear lever especially for engaging reverse, so it cannot be selected by mistake. You simply pull the clutch in when the bike is in neutral, then select reverse using the special lever.
There’s a relay switch, which makes your neutral light go out, so you know when it is save to reverse. You use the throttle as normal and ease out the clutch. All gaskets, instructions etc. are included in the kit, which fits alongside H-D 5-speed transmissions from 1980 onwards and 6-speed boxes from 2006 on, plus the latest 2009 onwards Touring range.
