Zodiac S&S V-twin motor
If you’re building a custom bike this year, then you’ll need an engine, preferably V-Twin shaped. If you cannot source a Harley unit, then S&S are arguably the next best choice, as far as an off-the-shelf engine is concerned.
Zodiac have a range of S&S motors, which are carb-fed, yet meet Euro III emissions and noise regs. The cylinder height is lower than a stock 80 cubic inches H-D motor, so the S&S will fit into most aftermarket frames. The engine’s capacity is 113 cubic inches, or 1852cc - not too big, but beefy enough.
The Zodiac motor comes in three different finishes - we like the polished option best - plus a Super G carb, high volume oil pump and a three year warranty are all standard. You will need stock Euro III type exhaust pipes to meet the regulations by the way. The cost of the Zodiac S&S V113 engine is 5944 euros.
