Motorcycle Muster Ride-In Day a Success
Bike enthusiasts from all over the UK enjoyed a great day out last Sunday, 27th June, as more than 1,400 bikes turned out to part in the public ride-in at the Beaulieu Motorcycle Muster Ride-In Day.
The newest event on the Beaulieu calendar proved to be extremely popular with more than 2,000 bike enthusiasts ride into the grounds of the show, with bike fans travelling from all over the UK to take part.
Judith Maddox, the Events Manager for Beaulieu, said:”The new ‘Muster’ event continues Beaulieu’s long established association with motorcycles and motorcycling events and has being staged in direct response to visitor feedback.
“We know that bikers like to have fun and show off their bikes and this event offers an opportunity to be part of the display and enjoy all of the Beaulieu attraction at the same time.”
As well as the mammoth public ride-in, the event also saw plenty of opportunities to stock up on biking goods as traders set up stalls selling bike accessories, clothing and parts, with bargain hunters getting stuck in to find snap up some great biking gear.
Breathtaking professional stunt displays were also on show to wow the crowds at the Beaulieu Arena. Steve ‘Showtime’ Colley, the three time British Solo Trials Champion, and the Extreme Globe Riders showcased their skilful riding, with the latter reaching over 5G as they crossed each other in a metal cage at over 70kph.
The People’s Choice Best Bike Award was voted by the public and was awarded to Danny Osbourne who came to the event with his Kawasaki ZXR 400. Stunt rider Steve Cooley presented him with a £100 in cash, a bottle of Beaulieu champagne and some Autoglym cleaning products.
Beaulieu is in the New Forest and attracts bike fans from all over the UK and is also home to the National Motor Museum.
