How to Get to the NEC Bike Show

The Carole Nash International Motorcycle and Scooter Show at the NEC in Birmingham is fast approaching and if you haven’t yet got your tickets, time is running out to get your hands on some great ticket promotions.

You could get a pack of 3 Oxford Comfys (RRP £13.99) when you buy an adult ticket at £17.00 or save £3 on admission if you order your ticket before November 25 for the show which takes place between November 28 and December 6. Children under 16 and senior citizens cost just £5 whilst kids under 10 get in free.*

If you have already got your ticket, then you’re probably making arrangements for getting to the NEC. If you’re stuck for options, this guide should provide you with all of the information that you need to ensure a pain-free journey to the NEC Bike Show.

By Road

The NEC is easily accessible from the motorway network, situated close to the M6, M6 Toll, M42 and M40.

The Highways Agency has advised motorists to expect delays of around 10 minutes at peak times on the M6, in both directions, between Junction 4 and Junction 6. This is due to ongoing road works.

Similar disruptions are to be expected on the M42 from J4-J6 and J7a-J9 southbound and from J7-J9 northbound.

Directions from the North East

Leave the M1 Southbound at J23a (just after East Midlands Airport) and take the A42 South West towards Birmingham. Continue on the M42 until Junction 6, signed for Coventry and Birmingham East. On the slip road, keep in the left hand lane which will then loop to the left. Turn left at the roundabout onto East Way which will lead you to the NEC complex.

Directions from the North West

Leave the M6 Southbound at J4a and take the M42 Southbound. Continue on the M42 until Junction 6, signed for Coventry and Birmingham East. On the slip road, keep in the left hand lane which will then loop to the left. Turn left at the roundabout onto East Way which will lead you to the NEC complex.

An alternative route is available via the M6 Toll, leaving the M6 at Junction 11a and joining the M42 South at J9. Fees for the M6 Toll are:
