Clock ticking for battle of the bikes

The organisers of Britain’s Got Biking Talent with Carole Nash are warning that the clock is fast running down for bikers who want to take part the nation’s biggest and best biking contest.

There are now just 6 days left to enter the competition, which pits bikes owned by ordinary members of the biking public against each other in a battle for a major prize bounty. Bikers have until Midday on Wednesday August 17^th to upload a picture of their tasty two-wheelers to the contest website at www.britainsgotbikingtalent.co.uk.

Then a panel of celebrity judges will whittle down entries to determine 40 of the 50 bikes which will go forward to the public vote. Taking on that tough shortlist task will be motorcycling adventurer Charley Boorman, Red Dwarf actor Danny John-Jules, Jon Quantrell, boss of revered customisers Hawg Haven, and Marc Potter, editor of MotorCycle News. The final ten will be determined by which bikes receive the highest number of ‘likes’ on Carole Nash’s Insidebikes Facebook page on which all entries are currently featured.

Competition is set to be fierce, not just to the prestige, which the contest has earned over the past five years, but a fantastic array of prizes. The ultimate winner will walk off with nearly £2,300 worth of booty, comprising £1,000 in cash plus a Protect A Bike shed and an Envy motorcycle lift. Second prize is a limited edition five-draw Carl Fogarty rollcab toolbox worth £599 with the whilst the third prize winner walk stylish away with £250 of top biking wear, including a pair of stylish Midnight Blue Sartso jeans, a pair of Gerbing G3 heated gloves and a Moto One Baselayer top.

But it’s not just about prizes – there’s the glory too. The 12 bikes that receive the most votes will appear on a special Britain’s Got Biking Talent stand at November’s NEC-hosted Motorcycle Live! It will be on that stand that the winners of Britain’s Got Biking Talent with Carole Nash will be announced.

Each of those bikes will also be photographed by top biking photographer and former MCN editor, Adam Duckworth. His superb studio shots will then feature in Carole Nash’s acclaimed annual calendar, a genuine must-have for over 100,000 bikers nationwide.

As if all of this wasn’t a good enough reason to enter MCN publisher Bauer is also offering every entrant a free motorcycle magazine from a choice of top titles spanning Bike, Classic Bike, Performance Bikes and RiDE.
