Rizla Suzuki announce Marchesini deal

Rizla Suzuki have unveiled wheel suppliers Marchesini as a new technical partner, with a product especially developed for the GSV-R.

The Italian manufacturer will be supplying the Rizla Suzuki outfit with a development of forged magnesium racing wheels, with the product instantaneously becoming the wheel of choice for riders Loris Capirossi and Chris Vermeulen.

In a bid to take another step towards success in the MotoGP, Marchesini will be supplying the Official Suzuki factory team with a product that is developed especially for the GSV-R, becoming the latest update to grace the MotoGP team.

The product is said to be reliable, strong and safe, which are all paramount to the performance of the bikes and their riders. In addition, they are aerodynamically efficient, lighter in weight and more rigid, making these wheels stand out from others in the racing wheel market.

Marchesini have provided many racing, road and Super-motard motorcycles with these stylish, light magnesium and aluminium alloy forged wheels; many World Champions have ridden to success on such wheels, one success story being Valentino Rossi’s 2008 MotoGP World Championship title.

Paul Denning, Rizla Suzuki Team Manager said: “Suzuki is very excited to be entering into a partnership with such an innovative technical partner. Marchesini is at the forefront of motorcycle wheel technology and, as part of the Brembo Group, has the R & D and engineering resource to respond to all types of technical demands.

“Marchesini has an amazing history in road-racing and we certainly hope that we can contribute to its list of successes in the very near future. The wheel is a very important and integral part of the package and Suzuki and Marchesini will be working very closely to develop the best product for the GSV-R.” He added.
