| Twin award sucess confirms Carole Nash as best in the business
Carole Nash Insurance Consultants has beaten off competition
from some of the biggest names in insurance to scoop two
trophies at the prestigious British Insurance Awards.
At the climax of a glitzy ceremony held at London’s
Royal Albert Hall and hosted by industry bible, Post Magazine & Insurance
Week, the fast-growing Altrincham-based firm saw off AA
Insurance Services and Swinton Insurance to be named Personal
Lines Broker of the Year. Earlier in the evening the firm
saw its recent investment in a £500,000 Training
Centre rewarded by the presentation of the Training Award
for which industry giants Allianz Cornhill and AXA Insurance
had also been shortlisted.
To win the Broker of the Year award the firm had to demonstrate
how it had responded to the demands of customers for products
relevant to their needs and provided ‘top-quality
service’.
The judges assessed product and service innovation in the context of profitable
growth and the firm’s skills in marketing and staff development.
The award rewarded a bold diversification strategy which
has seen the Carole Nash brand extended from its core motorcycle
insurance business into bike security fitting and the creation
of a national repair network headed by a £240,000 flagship
facility in Altrincham. Aggressive marketing, including the
firm’s first national TV advertising campaign, also
saw sales soar by 20%.
Commenting on the firm’s award success, Product Development
Director Malcolm Nash commented: “To beat such strong
competition from some of the biggest and most respected names
in the industry is a fantastic achievement. To be judged by
your industry peers to be the best in the business is the
ultimate accolade and we are all very, very proud.”
News of the awards glory comes as Carole Nash continues to
enjoy rapid expansion. The firm now insures some 300,000 motorcycles
– around a third of all those on UK and Irish roads
– and has increased staff numbers by 50% this year.
It now employs over 430 people in Altrincham and its Dublin
offices.
