Carole Nash appoints former Littlewoods Director to new finance post
Fast growing insurance intermediary Carole Nash Insurance
Consultants has appointed former Littlewoods Finance Company
Financial Director Allister Hill to the newly created role
of Chief Financial Officer.
The recruitment of Mr. Hill, 36, and the creation of the
new post signals the company’s determination to ensure
its management team has both the expertise and experience
necessary to successfully manage its continued rapid growth.
Mr. Hill joins having spent over seven years with the Liverpool-based
Littlewoods Group, firstly handling project and financial
management for the start up of Littlewoods Leisure Group’s
Bet Direct operation, before moving on to the executive team
of Littlewoods Finance Company. Prior to joining Littlewoods
he spent seven years in a variety of financial and business
planning roles with American Express.
His appointment comes as Carole Nash - which now employs
nearly 400 staff at its Altrincham headquarters and Dublin
offices - continues to expand by diversifying from its core
motorcycle insurance business in which it is UK market leader.
It has already successfully launched a Motorcycle Services
division offering security, service and repair facilities
and is a major player in the classic car insurance market.
In recent months it has also launched a push into the mainstream
motor market as it continues to pursue a growth strategy which
in the last financial year saw sales surge by 25% to £18.9m
and pre-tax profits by 21% to £1.42m. Its premium income
– the value of policies sold – is now in excess
of £52m. The success of that strategy was confirmed
earlier this year when Carole Nash was named among the top
100 UK companies with the fastest growing profits in the annual
Sunday Times Fastrack survey.
Commenting on his reasons for joining Carole Nash Mr. Hill
said: “Carole Nash is a business with a successful track
record for rapid growth, innovation and service excellence.
The company’s past performance is an impressive indicator
of its ability to maintain profitable growth, building on
its core insurance business and continually delivering value
to the customer. I am delighted to have been given the opportunity
to contribute towards the company’s future success."
