Biking's biggest goes online!
Bikers can now secure online quotes from one the UK’s
largest motorcycle insurance specialists, Carole Nash. The
company, which has around 25% of all UK bikers on its books,
had delayed launching an online service because the available
technology could not match the detailed accuracy of its telephone
service. Rather than compromise service, it spent three years
developing its own bespoke software which recreates the telephone
quotation process online.
“A number of brokers quickly jumped onto the online
bandwagon but we wanted to hold back until we had the technology
to deliver the quality of service for which we are known and
which could provide accurate quotes based on exactly the same
information that our telephone advisers would secure,”
commented Director of Marketing, Warren Dickson. “Some
online systems out there are not up to the job. They simply
don’t gather enough information to deliver a premium
which is truly informed by the risk factors. In contrast,
our system secures all relevant details and then interrogates
our extensive panel of insurers and policies to provide the
lowest available online quote.”
The new system - which covers modern bikes (registered 1983
to date) - also lets bikers save and amend quotes. This means
they can look at how to reduce their premium by removing additional
riders or making their bike more secure, or, for example,
how much it might cost to add riders to their policy.
What’s more, Carole Nash customers can set up their
account to manage their current insurance needs online, from
requesting duplicate insurance documents to checking out when
their renewal is due.
The launch of the new system is just part of a major revamp
of the Carole Nash website – www.carolenash.com. The
site has been given a complete design overhaul to make it
easier on the eye and to navigate, with additional content
spanning motorcycle, off road, car, van, trade, travel insurance
and a handy new facility which enables users to locate motorcycle
dealers by region across the UK and Ireland.
In the Spring the company will further enhance the online
quoting system to include a payment facility.
