Honda Ron Haslam Race School
As well as sponsoring Red Devils Aprilia's Leon Haslam as he takes on the World Superbike circuit, Carole Nash is a proud and longstanding supporter of the world famous Honda Ron Haslam Race School.
"Rocket" Ron Haslam is a true legend of British motorcycle road racing, with thirty years, 110 GPs, three world titles, four British championships and an MCN Man of the Year trophy under his wheels, before retiring from the world of competition to work as an instructor to amateur riders.
In addition to his work on Team Great Britain and helping son Leon (also known as the "Pocket Rocket") with his own career, Ron – together with his wife Ann – founded the Honda Ron Haslam Race School to provide regular track days at the illustrious Donington Park.
The School provides training and experience days for riders of all abilities and ages from twelve and up on a variety of Hondas – from a CBR125 all the way up to a CBR1000 Fireblade. Ron's reputation sees plenty of famous faces drop by, from the world of motorcycle racing and beyond. Over the years, the Haslams have welcomed the likes of Prince Andrew, Carl Cox and Keith Flint, as well as X Men trio Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy and Nicholas Hoult - and many more A-listers.
The School is well regarded for its friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff and instructors (including MCN's very own Senior Road Tester, Michael Neeves), the amazing calibre of the bikes on offer, as well as the circuit's esteem and history. After nineteen years of operation, they are still the only race school in the whole of Europe to provide all of the necessary equipment and two-to-one instruction.
Their courses aim to make you a better, more consistent, and safer rider. And if you have your sights set on hitting the course competitively yourself, trust the School to help you become a faster rider, and teach you how to get your knees and elbows down.
