Got a question

Our ambassador Leon Haslam has been granted a wildcard appearance with Pedercini Kawasaki at the final round of this year’s World Superbike Championship in Qatar.

Haslam will be riding the Kawasaki ZX-10R in World Superbike trim with full electronics – an opportunity the British Superbikes championship runner-up is relishing.

Revealing he is “really excited” to be taking part in the race, Haslam has added it will be “interesting to try the full WSBK spec Kawasaki as the BSB bike this year has been limited with the British Championship rules. Doha is always a fun track especially racing in the night.”

Haslam continues: “After a disastrous last race in the BSB, we got a call to take part in the last WSB round in Doha, thanks to JG Speedfit and Perdercini. I actually won this last year, so it’s a bit of a no pressure weekend but I’m really looking forward to it and hopefully we can get some good results!”

Puccetti Kawasaki World Supersport boss Manuel Puccetti is glad to have him on board. He said: “To have for this race a rider like Haslam is for me a great pleasure and an honour. I want to say thanks to Kawasaki Europe for making this possible. Leon is a great professional.

“He showed recently all his value in an extremely competitive championship like BSB, where he missed the title by a narrow margin. I'm confident for a good performance in Qatar with our bike.”

The Gaerne, Qatar round of World Superbikes takes place between October 28th – 30th, where Haslam will actually be racing with
Jonathan Rea – 2015 World Superbikes Champion and Carole Nash ambassador. Everyone at Carole Nash will be watching and cheering both riders on!
