Moto Guzzi has updated the base version of its charming retro, the V7 III Stone, with modern LED lights and some subtle styling updates.

Known as the ‘Night Pack’ variant, Guzzi’s entry level model gets full LED lights, including the headlight, indicators and rear light. The updated model also has a new rear mudguard, which is shorter and slimmer, and which integrates the rear brake light. The number plate holder is also new, to create a more contemporary look. The saddle now comes with an embossed Moto Guzzi logo, while colours are the all-black ‘Nero Ruvido’, Honed Bronze and Pungent Blue.

New colours are also the order of the day for the more traditionally styled V7 III Special. Inspired by the classic 1970s Guzzis, the Special stands out through its spoked wheels and two-tone paintwork on the tank. New for this summer are Onyx Black and Crystal Grey colourschemes, which are matched to an old school stitched brown saddle.

The Guzzi is one of the most overlooked retro bikes on the market. Despite being the most faithful interpretation of a 1960s/1970s roadster, with its transversely mounted, air cooled V-twin, the Italian bike has generally lived in the shadows of bikes like the Ducati Scrambler and Triumph Bonneville ranges.

There are a massive eight variants of the V7, with the base Stone version remaining (alongside the Night Pack version) and going alongside the Limited, Racer, Rough, Carbon, Milano and Special.
