A group of bikers from Lincolnshire are attempting to raise money to help a wounded soldier by raffling off Yamaha XVS950a Midnight Star.
Phoenix4all, a biker-run business that offers living history weekend events and works largely with underprivileged children, is holding a prize raffle in aid of Ashley -James Hall, a 20-year-old soldier who lost both of his legs after being injured by an improvised explosive device (IED) whilst serving in Afghanistan.
Ashley was injured on 9th July 2010 and Phoenix4all is hoping to raise enough money to provide him with a specially adapted trike, which will allow him to get back on the move.
The trike will be especially adapted by Phoenix as part of their motorcycle workshop, which provides pupils with the opportunity to learn about motorcycle maintenance, repair and restoration. Part of the money raised will also go to charities that support the British armed forces.
A prize draw has been arranged to take place on 9 July 2011, with a Yamaha XVS950a Midnight Star on offer as first prize. A second prize of a £1000 Hein Gericke Gift Card and a third prize of a £250 Hein Gericke Gift Card and framed signed autograph of Russell Mitchell are also up for grabs. Other prizes include team fleeces, T-Shirts, caps, mugs and DVDs.
Tickets cost just £2 and can be bought by calling 01476 571425, e-mailing[email protected] or by going to www.wegottickets.com
