At the end of 2013 Michelin launched its brand new road tyre – the Pilot Road 4. Aimed at the all-weather biker, these tyres claim to make you ‘feel more secure, whatever the conditions’.
This weekend Michelin has arranged a testing event in Seville, and we’ve sent our own reporter Jamie so he can give you the lowdown on how well these tyres really perform.
In an action-packed day, Jamie will head straight to the beautiful Monteblanco circuit, using the 4.4km track to its full effect. This world-famous track has 26 different layouts and an urban circuit designed for a variety of testing requirements, and with 30 different types of bike available over the weekend the tyres should be pushed to their limits. He’ll then head for the open roads of Andalusia, bringing you a blow-by-blow account of his journey and the tyres’ performance along the way.
Reviewing the essentials for you, Jamie will be testing the tyres’ technical performance, including:
- Handling
- Riding behaviour
- Emergency braking
- Urban riding
Jamie can’t wait to get into the hot seat tomorrow morning, and we hope you’ll join him for the ride. He’ll be updating us from the race track and the streets of Seville throughout the day on Facebook and Twitter, so stay tuned. On Monday, you’ll be able to read the full story of the weekend and we’ll be posting related articles through the week.
