Ducati updates the Scrambler 1100 for 2020

Ducati has given its Scrambler 1100 a raft of updates for 2020, with a split range that’s made up of a standard 1100 Scrambler PRO and the Scrambler 1100 Sport PRO.

The Scrambler 1100 is the most powerful of the retro Scrambler range thanks to a 1079cc air-cooled V-twin motor with both the PRO and Sport PRO getting new colours among other updates for 2020.

The Ducati Scrambler 1100 Sport PRO is the highest-specification version of the Scrambler family. It features all the new styling details of the PRO, but also a gets higher-specification Öhlins suspension, low-slung handlebars and café racer-style low-mounted rear-view mirrors as standard.

The 1100 Sport PRO also features a matt black colour scheme, with side panels featuring a painted 1100 logo. There’s also a new two-tone ‘Ocean Drive’ colour scheme available.

Despite the traditional looks of the Ducati Scrambler range, all of them maintain the very latest electronic rider aids which include cornering ABS and adjustable riding modes. On both bikes there’s the choice of three riding modes: Active, Journey and City, which adjust both throttle response along with braking and traction control systems to suit each mode.

Like all Scramblers, there’s going to be a massive selection of official bolt-on parts to allow each owner to make the bike their own. These parts include exhausts, luggage, styling and tuning parts. With so many options, you’re unlikely to see many identically-modified bikes.

A new right-side twin exhaust and low-slung number plate holder are combined with the framed headlight, inspired by the protective adhesive tape used on racing bikes back in the 1970s.

The Ducati Scrambler 1100 PRO and Sport PRO will be available from the end of March 2020.
