Durham Bikewise 2012

Durham Bikewise takes place this weekend, with Police HQ, Aykley Heads, Durham hosting the 2012 event on Sunday 1 July.

Despite some complications due to the London Olympics, the event is now confirmed for the annual ‘pilgrimage’ to Police HQ for BikeWise, with an action-packed line-up providing entertainment for all the family.

BSB fans will be pleased to hear that HM Plant will be bringing all of their sponsored riders to the event, including TT Legend John McGuinness, Metzeler National 1000 Superstock riders Steve Brogan, (Buildbase BMW) and Leon Hunt (MSS Bathams Kawasaki), as well as Metzeler  600 Superstock rider Wesley Pearce (Swan Yamaha).

The 18th Durham Bikewise will also feature Darlington based world record stunt rider Dave Coates, who will be performing stunts and tricks throughout the day.

A crowd of up to 12,000 visitors from 10am to mid-afternoon and entry is just £2 for adults (free under 16s), with all profits going to local good causes.
