Kawasaki have lifted the curtain on the new ZX-6R, revealing that the new model will come with both ABS and traction control.

The supersport model becomes the second in the Kawasaki line, after the MV675, to be offered with traction control and the ABS system is Kawasaki’s racetrack-developed system – KIBS.

Other headline changes include increased displacement to 636cc, which Kawasaki claims offers great usability in everyday street-riding situations. The chassis has also been tweaked to improve handling.

Kawasaki also claim that this is their most technologically advanced mid-size supersport, with technology taken from their flagship models including 3-mode KTRC, Power Mode selection and KIBS.

The bike, which was leaked online earlier this week, also features new forks, combining Showa SFF and BPF technologies, a back-torque limiting function and new, more aggressive styling.
