A motorcycle ride will take place in Cheshire on 17 August to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. The event will be supported by J&S Accessories and Chef and Brewer Pubs, the local Northwich Guardian says.
The charity ride-out will start at The Blue Cap, in Sandiway, where bikers will gather for breakfast before starting their trip. At lunchtime they will take a break for a barbecue at the Blacksmiths Arms and they will later return to J&S in Oakmere.
Organisers wanted to arrange a big event for the cancer charity and raise funds to help people suffering from the disease in Cheshire, so they came up with the idea for the bike ride, said Carl Fisher, Macmillan volunteer.
J&S are bike experts, so it wasn’t hard to get them to join the initiative and they came up with a great trip for bikers, Fisher added. The organisers hope that the fundraiser will be a success and might become an annual event.
Organisers said that they are thankful for the support and help from J&S as well as the support received from other firms, such as Halfords, Asda, Roberts Bakery, Enterprise, Brio Leisure and Co-Signs. All of these companies donated items to support the fundraiser.
In order to join the ride-out, bikers will have to pay £50 for a ticket. The cost includes breakfast, lunch and raffle entry. The raffle prizes include a HJC IS-17 bike helmet, a meal for four at a Chef and Brewer Pub and a Drift Ghost HD Camera. The tickets are available for sale at J&S.
