This weekend sees a promising newcomer arrive on to the UK bike show scene with Saturday’s opening of the Carole Nash Great Scottish Bike Show, which is held at The Lanark Agricultural Centre.
This show is shaping up to be another cracker with an appeal to both classic and modern bike enthusiasts. Among attractions are Kevin Carmichael’s awesome stunt show, and TT racing father and son guests of honour, Bill and Ian Simpson. Bill took the Manx Production title in 1967, whilst talented offspring Ian, the “Dalbeattie Destroyer”, captured the junior trophy some 30 years later, adding two Ulster GP wins and five triumphs each at the North West 2000 and British Championships.
Naturally the Carole Nash team will be there to meet, greet and furnish you with freebies. The chances are they might also just mention the rather tasty free prize draw called The Ultimate Biking Giveaway it is, with a prize worthy of up to £20k,** doing pretty much what it says on the tin. Win it and you’ll be riding off on a rather lovely Suzuki GSR 750, heading off to Europe for a Moto GP or SBK holiday for two and showing off up to £2,000 of brand new top notch biking gear. For good measure there’s even a nippy Suzuki Alto for those odd days when you want to swap two wheels for four – protected, of course, by Carole Nash’s pioneering Six wheel bike and car insurance policy. Of course to win it, you’ve got to be in it – and all that means you need do is get a quick motorcycle insurance quote from the friendly Carole Nash folks!
