The Carole Nash supported Honda Ron Haslam Race School has announced 20 dates for its iconic track based riding school in 2019, all held at the Donington Park circuit in Leicestershire.
Rocket Ron’s classroom opens up on April 10th and runs through to October 9th. Most school dates are on Wednesdays, with one Monday (July 1st) and a Friday (July 12th). Full dates and an online contact form can be found at the school’s website: www.haslamraceschool.com
As in previous years, each date will feature seven different course levels, for riders at different stages of their motorcycling career.
Riders as young as 12 can take place on the £60 Learn to Ride Experience, which takes place in the Donington Park paddock area using Honda’s MSX125, CBR125R or CBR300R bikes, and including use of helmets, leathers and all other safety gear.
Completing the Learn to Ride Experience opens up the ‘On Track’ experiences which, as the name suggests, takes place on the famous race circuit. This course costs £210 (inclusive of all equipment hire) and uses the CBR125R, CBR300R or CBR500R (depending on age and experience). The course is also open to riders as young as 12, making it suitable for youngsters looking to get started in motorcycle racing.
Ron’s half-day Premier Experience costs £310 and is aimed at experienced riders. The course uses Honda CBR650R bikes and features one-to-one instructor sessions across three track sessions. Premier Plus, introduced for the first time this year, costs £350 and takes place in the afternoon, with an open pitlane for even more track time.
Riders who have completed the Premier Experience can then move up to the Elite course, which gives the rider an option to lap the circuit on Honda’s CBR1000RR Fireblade flagship. Costing £460, the course consists of up to 90 minutes track time, intensive one-to-one instruction, all riding gear and refreshments during the day.
