A customised motorcycle designed by Wayne Rooney has gone up for auction on eBay in aid of the charity KidsAid.
The Manchester United striker, who scored England’s winner last night against Ukraine in Euro 2012, designed the custom bike built by the Danish custom house Lauge Jensen.
The motorcycle features a signed Wayne Rooney shirt, with his number 10, preserved in lacquer on the tank, as well as artwork on the rear mudguard showing his celebration after scoring an overhead goal against Manchester City in February 2011. It also features 21 black diamonds and one white diamond.
Rooney said: “The bike we have designed takes its inspiration from the celebration of my overhead kick against Manchester City last season. The goal has been described by others as being of the highest quality, technical excellence, powerful and beautiful. I hope you will agree that the bike is all of this and more.”
At the time of writing, the bidding stands at £60,600 from 56 bids. All proceeds from the auction will go to KidsAid, a charity that raises money to support seriously ill children in Denmark by improving conditions in hospitals.
