British motorcycle clothing specialist BKS, part of the Frank Thomas group, has launched a line of ladies motorcycle jackets, with some help from MotoGP presenter Suzi Perry.
Suzi has been riding motorcycles for over a decade and helped BKS designer Brian Sansom to create jackets which look good enough to wear off the bike, and yet offer genuine protection whilst riding. The Buckingham and Windsor leather jackets, plus the Warwick textile jacket. All feature CE approved body armour and are built to the usual high BKS standards.
“I was really excited to be involved in the creation of female motorcycle products for BKS,” said Suzi, “as all too often, manufacturers believe that selling a male cut jacket, coloured pink, is enough. We have to let them know this is no longer acceptable.”
The jackets are part of the 2009 BKS collection, which include one piece racing leathers, the Lancaster vintage style jackets and Gloucester textile trousers and jackets for men. BKS leathers backs James Toseland, who will be in action soon at the British MotoGP at Donington Park.
