Top five… things to see at Motorcycle Live 2018

Motorcycle Live is the UK’s largest bike show, running from November 17-25, 2018 at the NEC in Birmingham. It’s your first chance to see all of the new 2019 machinery under one roof. Insidebikes, has put together a list of the top things to see at this year’s show.

Suzuki Katana

The original 1980’s Katana was such a futuristic design for Suzuki. The media was sceptical, however sales figures proved otherwise and the German designed, Japanese engineered Suzuki GS1100 became an instant classic. Now, 37 years after the original model was launched, Suzuki returned to Intermot in Germany this October to launch their new-for-2019, Katana. Again, the media has been sceptical, but we would advise you wait to see it in the flesh before you pass judgment. Remember what happened the first time around!

Triumph Scrambler 1200

In a star-studded launch at London’s ExCel in October, Triumph introduced their eagerly awaited Scrambler 1200. With it boasting fully adjustable Ohlins rear shocks, twin Brembo M50 calipers and the capability to control a GoPro from the switchgear, this British made bike doesn’t just look the part, it plays it. With there being two variants, the XC and XE, you will undoubtedly have the ability to see the new Scrambler in all of its guises.

Moto-Cirque

Moto-Cirque is a high-tech thrill of electronic sports action. The show is an intensely choreographed performance that will include world-class street bike stunt riding, BMX, Freestyle Motocross and moto trials in an intoxicating mix of lights, lasers, and theatrical performances. What more could you possibly want?

Four-time World Superbike Champion Jonathan Rea

On the opening day of Motorcycle Live 2018, newly crowned World Superbike Champion, and Carole Nash ambassador, Jonathan Rea will be on the Kawasaki stand signing his new book, Dream, Believe, Achieve. He will also be available for signing other merchandise and ready to take pictures with the fans. At the moment he will only be there on the opening day of the event, which is Saturday, November 17.

Leon Haslam’s British Superbike Championship winning Kawasaki ZX-10RR

Motorcycle Live wouldn’t be the same without an appearance from the newly crowned British Superbike Champion. Now, it just so happens that this year’s champion is none other than Carole Nash ambassador Leon Haslam and his championship-winning Kawasaki ZX-10RR. If you’re lucky, you might be able to hear the bike started up throughout the week. Stay tuned to our social channels for dates and times. You won’t want to miss it.
