The Brits continue their WSBK domination in to round three, with every podium spot taken by a UK rider for a third race running! Rea, Haslam, Davies and Sykes left the competition in the dust for another weekend as they battled it out among themselves for victory at Motorland Aragon on Spain.
Currently the world number three, Kawasaki’s Jonathan Rea earned his fourth win of the season in race one, trading the top spot with Ducati’s Chaz Davies right to the last second. Rea’s Kawasaki teammate Tom Sykes, on the other hand, lost his early lead to claw his way to third.
Rea and Davies rivalry had no chance to come to a head once again, with Davies absolutely dominating in his first win of the season as Rea lagged behind to his second silver finish of the year. Instead, he battled it out to within half a second with Aprilia’s Leon Haslam, who clawed back from a disappointing fourth-place finish in race one to a steady third in Race two, his fifth podium spot in six races.
At present, the overall standings sees Rea out in front on 140 points, with Haslam not too far behind on 114. However the pair, who we are very proud to have on board as Carole Nash brand ambassadors, are both way ahead of the rest of the competition. Check out the current positions of the top 20 below:
