The pack fits both versions of the updated-for-2017 V-Strom, the standard model and the more adventure orientated V-Strom 1000XT, and represents a saving of £190 over the individual items. Priced at £659, the kit includes the aforementioned 55-litre top box and fitting plate, as well as protective engine bars, upgraded chain guard and a tank pad to reduce the risk of the paintwork being scratched by errant zips. No panniers are included in the package deal, however Suzuki does offer accessory side cases separately, costing and additional £775 and offering an additional 39 litres of luggage capacity.

The pack is available from all UK Suzuki dealerships and can be purchased retrospectively by existing V-Strom riders, as well as new owners.

Insidebikes recently reviewed the 2017 incarnation of the venerable V-Strom and praised it for its excellent value for money. The touring pack adds to the practicality of the sub-£10,000 adventure tourer, which now features new styling and modern tech – including two-stage traction control and cornering ABS.

Indeed, Suzuki is championing the V-Strom’s position as the value for money option in the adventure bike class. The company is currently promoting the finance options for its popular adventure bike, stating that it can be ridden away for just £115 a month over 37 months, with a £2,397 deposit and an optional final repayment of £4,696.
