What’s on at the 2015 Isle of Man TT?
All biker eyes will be on the Isle of Man this Saturday, June 6th, as the legendary Isle of Man TT festival gears up for this year's main races.
A week of rain-sodden practice and wind-swept qualifying sessions hasn't dampened enthusiasm for the iconic event, now over one hundred years old.
The Isle of Man TT excitement begins on Saturday, with the TT Superbike Race at 11am, followed by the Side Car Race A at 2pm.
On Monday, Supersport TT Race 1 kicks of the day's action at 10:45am, with the Superstock TT Race at 2pm.
Wednesday sees three races: the TT Zero Challenge Race at 10:45am, the Supersport TT Race 2 at 12 noon and the Side Car Race B at 2.30pm. A number of the biggest names from World Superbikes will also be around on Wednesday, taking part in a parade lap. So look out for 2014 Superbike Champion Sylvain Guintoli, Welsh wizard Chas Davies, and the Kawasaki racing team duo of Tom Sykes and Carole Nash Ambassador Jonathan Rea as they don their gear for a crowd-pleasing lap of the race circuit.
TT favourite John McGuiness is also expected to be around, catching up with old friends and no doubt posing for a few selfies.
The big one at the Isle of Man TT
Friday is the big one. The biggest day in the annual Isle of Man TT calendar. First race of the day is the Lightweight TT Race at 10.30am. Then it’s the big guns turn for the Isle of Man TT’s blue riband event – the Senior TT race at 1pm.
Taking place over six laps of the 37.75 mile course, the senior race is always the star attraction of the event. Can last year's winner, Michael Dunlop, see off the challenges of big name competitors like Gary Johnson, Guy Martin, Bruce Anstey, and local hero Conor Cummins?
What else is going on at the Isle of Man TT Festival 2015?
If you can tear yourself away from the action on the circuit, head over to the promenade in Douglas, where there's dozens of stands, stalls and booths selling the latest biker gear, gadgets and grub.
The Carole Nash Crew will be there, based in the Bushy’s marquee, giving out goodie bags and balloons. We’ll be running our usual £250-off-your-insurance free prize draw, providing money-saving on-the-spot insurance quotes and chatting to people about Rider Cover, one of the fantastic new benefits that comes with Carole Nash policies, that covers you even you’re riding someone else’s bike!
