Inside Bikes

Got a question

The seventh Cholmondeley Pageant of Power will take place from 13-15 June this year at Cholmondeley Castle in Cheshire. The event is one of the most dynamic of its kind, with plenty of action on the track, on water and in the air.

More than 140 contemporary and historical vehicles will battle it out on the famous Cholmondeley track. The Supercar Paddock is expected to be bustling with impressive vehicles and their drivers, all hoping to beat the record fastest lap of 55.29, set by Robbie Kerr last year.

This year's theme is Italy, so visitors to the event can expect to see some brilliant Italian motorbikes and cars. A special celebration will be held for Maserati, as the manufacturer turns 100 this year.

Among the motorbikes entered for this year's event will be a 2002 Ducati Bostrom 98, which will be ridden by eight-time TT winner Charlie Williams. This year's classic line-up will include a 1969 Aermacchi Ala D'Oro and a 1947 Moto Guzzi Dondolino 500.

The show will play host to a number of air displays from The Red Arrows, Breitling Wing Walkers, BAC Strikemaster and the Old Buckers, along with The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. On ground, there will be a supermoto competition and classic scrambler racing, while jetski championships, flyboard demos and rib rides will take place on the castle's lake.

Legendary rock group Status Quo will kick-start the event with an opening concert on Friday. There will be plenty of manufacturers at the event, along with food outlets, bars and a large trader's village.
