What’s on at the Carole Nash Classic Bike Guide Winter Classic 2017
The biking New Year gets off to its usual rip-roaring start in January with the first event of 2017 – the Classic Bike Guide Winter Classic at Newark Showground, sponsored by who else but Carole Nash!

Now entering its sixth fantastic year, this event has rapidly become one of the hottest dates on the show calendar. There are two days packed with everything biking fans expect, perfect for dusting off those Christmas cobwebs. It’s the ideal place to pick up a spare part or find that glint of inspiration for your next project, or simply set you up for an exciting summer of riding.

Bag a bargain at the Classic Bike Guide Winter Classic 2017
For the sheer variety of traders, dealers, autojumble stalls and classic machines, the Classic BikeGuide Winter Classic 2017 is hard to beat: from iconic marques from British biking history, to Japanese enthusiast groups, racing organisations and off-roading clubs.

With so much to see, it’s difficult to pick any favourites, but highlights are sure to include the 1934 Scott Flying Squirrel of Roger Moss (British Historic Racing), Andy Bolas’s Yamaha YSR50 (VJMC), and the 1950 Velocette Covel built by a former race mechanic, Hendley Cox (Velocette Owners Club).

Get up close with Mansfield’s world sidecar champs
Of course, no motorcycle show worth its metal is complete without a special guest. This year you even get two special guests for the price of one: Mansfield-based sidecar duo and current World F2 champions Ben and Tom Birchall. The brothers will be chatting live on stage with regular compere Steve Plater, discussing their careers, ambitions and many accomplishments. They’ll also be staying around afterwards to sign autographs, pose for a few selfies and present the show’s main awards.

In the ever-popular Scooter World hall, meanwhile, three-times British scooter champion Stuart Day will be in attendance. And as well as the dozens of clubs and scooter fanatics showing off their mean machines, there’ll be the usual rebuild competitions and skills challenges, a custom show, a charity auction and numerous firing-up sessions.
