Classic bikes beat the heat at Mondello Park

Heatwave or no heatwave, things are set to hot up on Sunday June 21st when Carole Nash Classic Car & Motorcycle Live 2015 celebrates its 8th birthday at Mondello Park.

Predictions of a warmer-than-average June for Ireland and the UK may have been shelved but don’t let the potentially wet weather dampen your spirits – this year’s show in County Kildare promises to get temperatures soaring with racing events, exhibitions, displays and demos.

What’s on at Classic Car & Motorcycle Live?

Ireland’s only live-action classic automobile show will bring together a collection of the best vintage bikes and cars, with three motorbike races pencilled in for the day. Historic racing motorcycles will compete on the track in heats organised by Dunboyne Motor Club, with members showcasing their prized bikes in an accompanying display of road and racing machinery.

A range of classic cars will also feature during the event, which this year shines the spotlight on BMW. The BMW M1 Procar will be rolled out of the circuit’s museum and on to display in the paddock before being taken for a spin on the track.

In addition, the show will feature racing with classic cars spanning three eras, starting with the Pre ’55 series of antique Irish cars. A classic bike parade is scheduled for 12.50pm.
