What’s on at Durham BikeWise 2015

Where else can you see David Beckham’s Triumph, a (far from damp) Squibb and a Manx TT legend in the flesh?

Durham Police’s annual BikeWise event at Police HQ in Aykley Heads, Durham, on July 19 looks set for its best year yet.

After the roaring success of 2014, they’re building on their winning formula of family fun with mini-moto racing for the kids, fairground fun and event regular Yamaha’s Dave Coates performing show-stopping stunts. There’ll also be an emphasis on safe, responsible biking – something even renowned free-stylist Jamie Squibb will have a keen eye on during his gravity-defying performance.

While Dave Coates shows the crowd how to make a Yamaha fly, you can grab a photo with Isle of Man TT Legend John McGuinness. He’ll even give out autographs if you ask nicely.

The Carole Nash Crew will be giving away £250^ off your bike insurance in our regular free prize draw, as well as great savings on insurance with our on-the-spot quotes. So be sure to drop by the stand. Kids will be just as happy to see us, too, with free goodie bags and balloons!

Unmissable family fun at Durham BikeWise 2015

There are thrills aplenty for children at the funfair as well, together with face painting and even free plastic police helmets to keep the sun off. Just make sure they put on a real helmet when they take a spin on the mini-moto course! And if they need inspiration from future world champions, BikeWise’s Mini Bike Club will be showing off their skills.

If you’re looking to slow the pace, there’ll be a collection of iconic Triumph motorcycles to feast your eyes on. And be sure to save some energy for head-banging to local noisemakers KIMERA as they perform their own brand of classic rock.
