Have a wicked time in Wales at Llan Bike Fest 2017

How much fun can you cram into 48 hours? Visit Llan Bike Fest 2017 on August 5 and 6 and you’ll find out! This celebration of all things bike is back for another year, bigger and better than ever, with an action-packed schedule to keep everybody entertained!

Taking place at the Royal International Pavilion in Llangollen, Llan Bike Fest is one of Wales’ most popular biking events, and not without reason – this year, visitors will be treated to high-octane stunt displays, star appearances, exciting biking challenges, loads of live music and plenty of family fun, so why not make a weekend of it?

What’s on at Llan Bike Fest 2017?

The show organisers are expecting more bikes than ever to be on display this year, so prepare to drool over chrome classics, souped-up sports bikes and custom creations from keen collectors and local motorcycle clubs.

Fancy a ride on the wild side? Extreme Wheelie returns to the festival to give bikers an experiences they won’t forget! This virtual reality motorcycle simulator allows riders to experience the thrill of a wheelie in complete safety, with the aim of improving awareness, control and confidence.

British sprint champion Alan Tinnion will be putting in an appearance, along with trials supremo and Scottish Six Day winner Alexz Wigg, who will showcase some spectacular stunts, while record breaker Nick Sanders – who has famously ridden around the world seven times – will also be on hand, along with acclaimed author and avid biker Zoe Cano. Having extensively explored the USA on two wheels, Zoe’s the authority on motorcycle adventure travel.

Entertainment for everyone at Llan Bike Fest 2017

Llan Bike Fest is a fun day out for all the family, even little ones, who are sure to enjoy the disco dome, bouncy castle and face painting on offer. There are various craft activities going on too, including sand art and badge making.

Llangollen and District Motorcycle Club will be putting on their own version of the BBC’s Kick Start trials competition to showcase the skills of their junior riders, while George Formby tribute act Graeme Hardy will be riding his Shuttleworth Snap and entertaining the crowds with his ukulele.

Other musical acts will be performing during the festival, including headliners Levee Breaks, who will bring their unique blues/rock/soul mashup to the masses on Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Local bands The Last Rebels and Before the Storm are also in the line-up, so come ready to rock!

Extreme mountain biking demonstrations, tons of trade stalls and a breathtaking falconry display should round the weekend off nicely!
