We’ve had some real high octane viewing this week at the NEC Birmingham, as Motorcycle Live returns for another year. This year has so far been better than ever at the Carole Nash stand, as we show off some of the UK’s best custom motorbikes.
Our promo girls are out in force showing off our brand new calendar, and SBK star Jonathan Rea will be announcing the winner of Britain’s Got Biking Talent. If that’s not enough, we have three of the UK’s best new custom bikes for you to feast your eyes on.
The Bitch, lovingly named so by creator Haydn Meredith due to the difficulty of the build, is an impressive super slim, 6-speed monster that uses a custom built diff to make it easy to ride, as well as great to look at. Having taken over a year to build and encountered many difficulties, it would seem this 3ft trike was worth the wait, as it’s already been to two other shows and scooped up prizes at both.
Next up we have Gladstone Motorcycles, the first completely new British motorcycle brand to launch since 1984. The brainchild of TV presenter Henry Cole (World’s Greatest Motorcycle Rides, Travel Channel Worldwide and The Motorbike Show, ITV4), Gladstone’s mission is to offer limited production runs of the finest hand built British motorcycles complimented by a range of Gladstone jackets, tee shirts, helmets and accessories.
We’re offering visitors to the Carole Nash a rare glimpse at the prototype of the Gladstone No. 1, of which only 9 will be made. With this in mind, we’re sure you’ll agree this is something that cannot be missed.
Last but certainly not least, we have the Dakota Drifter, which is the prototype for the Destiny Cycles planned range of production bikes. Built around an S&S Shovel 93 cu inch engine, which is joined by a 6 speed Revtech kicker transmission, these are joined together by a BDL 2″ primary drive set up which will certainly offer enough bang for its buck. Utilising parts from a number of manufacturers, be sure to drop by and take a look at this machine!
That’s just a small part of what’s been going on at the Carole Nash stand over the course of Motorcycle Live 2013. Be sure to also come over and have a chat about the different types of bike insurance we can offer you, as well as the great savings you can make by making us your insurer of choice. It’s been a brilliant week so far – what have you enjoyed at Motorcycle Live 2013?
