40th CAROLE NASH BRISTOL CLASSIC MOTORCYCLE SHOW 2020

It was time to celebrate this past weekend at the Royal Bath & West Showground in Shepton Mallet, Somerset, as the Carole Nash Bristol Classic Motorcycle Show hit the big 4-0!

That’s right – it was the 40th year of the popular classic bike event, and, as should be the case with milestone birthdays, it was one for the ages…

Taking place over the weekend of 1st-2nd February, it was a brilliant opportunity for bikers from the South West and beyond to get together and gawk at hundreds of classic motorcycles.

HOW DID WE MARK THIS SPECIAL OCCASION?

We turned back the clock, and invited attendees to dress up in their finest vintage clobber to mark four decades since the show’s humble beginnings back in 1980.

From 70s disco flares to New Romantic frilly shirts that even Spandau Ballet would be envious of, the crowds didn’t disappoint! Of course, the fancy dress was fun, but it paled in comparison to the fantastic array of classic bikes on show…

WHAT WAS THERE TO SEE AND DO AT THE SHOW?

Private owners dusted off their two-wheeled pride and joy for the weekend, while motorcycle clubs from across the country invited punters to browse their elaborate classic bike displays.

There was something for everyone at the 40th Carole Nash Bristol Classic Motorcycle Show: Immaculate showroom-ready bikes sat alongside rusty old barn finds – both just as intriguing as one another, in different ways.

The inclusive, welcoming atmosphere throughout the weekend attracted classic bike buffs from far and wide, making for the perfect party vibe!

Plus, there were plenty of chances to stock up on some new riding gear or spare parts for your bike from top-quality trade stalls hailing from all corners of the UK.

THE CAROLE NASH CREW WAS OUT IN FORCE!

The team here at Carole Nash was honoured to sponsor the event for another year, especially one as special as its 40th!

As always, it was great to see so many biking enthusiasts in one place, and we loved catching up with you all about all things classic bike, and helping out with your insurance queries.

Thanks for a great show, and we hope to see you next year!
