Sun, sea and superb bikes at Ace Cafe Margate Meltdown 2018

With the sun beating down and glorious blue skies stretching for miles around, a sea of riders and an enormous cavalcade of beautiful bikes rolled out in force for the Ace Café Margate Meltdown 2018.

In fact, plenty of experienced attendees thought this year’s ride-out was the biggest yet – and it certainly couldn’t be missed by any passing motorist on the roads around Margate and the surrounding Kent countryside on this breath-taking Bank Holiday Monday.

Starting from Ace Café London at 10.30am, there were motorcycles and bike fans stretching as far as the eye could see on the procession to Margate seafront.

Once the riders started to arrive on the Kent coast, the atmosphere got even better.

With a brilliant live band providing the perfect backdrop, it was little wonder everyone had a smile on their face. Enormous lines of club and trade stands kept visitors busy while the stalls had everything anyone could need – from new leathers and helmets through to gloves, boots and all manner of biking accessories.

Food and drink stalls kept everyone topped up throughout the afternoon and evening, while DJ Bill Guntrip ensured that feet were tapping across the seafront with his huge range of retro rock-and-roll tunes.

Bikers aplenty at the Carole Nash Margate Meltdown tent

As ever, the Carole Nash team loved every minute of the Ace Café Margate Meltdown 2018. Our tent was packed with visitors all day long, with our goodie bags proving as popular as ever and our free prize draw pulling in visitors from all corners of the UK.

If 2019 is even half as good, we’re in for a real treat next year. We’re counting down the days already!
