Oh we do like to be beside the seaside – especially for Bexhill MotoFest 2017!

This year’s event at Bexhill-on-Sea was another stonker for the estimated 10,000 bike fans from across the country who descended to the south coast for a perfect summer’s day, soaking up the sun and admiring the bikes on show.

For a place with such a long tradition of biking – Bexhill-on-Sea held races along the prom more than 100 years ago – it’s little wonder this event is so successful.

Bexhill’s friendly locals welcomed riders, bikes and clubs from all corners of the UK and beyond. Clubs, dealerships and traders all showed off their collections, giving bike fans the chance to admire some classic and custom machines in the flesh.

For those looking for something more modern, BMW, Harley-Davidson and Suzuki all displayed their latest models – including a range of electric motorcycles that look set to take an increasingly large share of the market in a carbon-free future.

Fun for everyone at Bexhill MotoFest 2017

Young or old, there was plenty to keep visitors interested at this year’s MotoFest event.

As well as the stunning views over the sea, there were trade stalls, food and drink, safety demos, and jaw-dropping stunt display in the main car park. And keeping the atmosphere flowing throughout were a string of superb bands – including Stoned, the south-east’s answer to the Rolling Stones.

For those looking for something a little bit different, the show-stopping Mondial bike proved a fascinating attraction in the ‘Motorcycle as Art’ display.

Behind all the fun, bikes and good weather, though, was a serious note – the festival raised significant funds for several local charities, including KSS Air Ambulance.

Carole Nash and Bexhill MotoFest – a winning combination!

As ever, Carole Nash was on hand to talk to visitors at Bexhill MotoFest 2017 – and it was great to see so many smiling faces soaking up the sun.

We handed out goodie bags galore and we’re already counting down the days until we do it all again next year. See you there!
