Newark Showground sets the standard for a bike-tastic New Year!

What a brilliant start to 2016 for the two-wheeled world. It’s the fifth year running that we’ve sponsored the Classic Bike Guide Winter Classic show. Two days jam-packed with biking action, events and activities. There was so much going on that it’s hard to know where to start!

All the big names and their classic models, obviously. But it was great to see so many small businesses showcasing so many great biking-related products. That’s why we love to back these events, because they bring so many new ideas to the biking community.

Everyone valued the Carole Nash Classic Bike Guide Winter Classic

Away from the main events, one of the biggest draws was all the ‘autojumble’ stalls. Lots of people having a good rummage through mountains of stuff – including new and second hand parts, spares, tools, accessories, clothing and memorabilia. Trust bikers to spot bargains and save a small fortune!

Scooter World showed small wheels can make big impact

Filling two whole halls, it was impossible to miss Scooter World. Everywhere you looked the displays had a massive visual impact – and the ‘diner’ themed stand had people queuing up for a real taste of what it was like to change down and pull off the main drag to chill out and refuel.

Suddenly, the Carole Nash Classic Bike Guide Winter Classic turned everyone into Ron Haslam!

Bikers were blown away by downloading the amazing new insidebikes app powered by Carole Nash. This gives you a white knuckle 3600 virtual reality ride round Donington GP Circuit astride Rocket Ron Haslam’s Honda CBR600RR. Try it yourself, but you’ll need nerves of steel going into the bends.

So much on stand at the Carole Nash Classic Bike Guide Winter Classic

As you know, at Carole Nash we live and breathe motorbikes. So it was really great that so many people came over to say hello to the team and grab a chat with our guest on the Saturday, two-time British champion biking James Whitham.

Great atmosphere and great excitement, too, for the lucky biker who won a whopping £250 off their motorbike insurance in our free prize draw! It was a brilliant event, and we made sure that everyone had a chance to go home a winner with our pocket-pleasing quotes on motorcycle insurance. See you same time(ish), same place next year!
