Carole Nash Classic Car & Motorcycle Live 2015 – Bikes, BMW and birthday celebrations

Carole Nash Classic Car & Motorcycle Live 2015 celebrated its 8th birthday last weekend at Mondello Park, County Kildare, in true vintage style: with classic car and bike displays, unbeatable racing action and unmissable demos.

The one-of-a-kind show is Ireland’s only live-action event with classic vehicles, attracting the country’s best vintage motorcycles and cars. Over the course of Sunday June 21st, visitors to Mondello were treated to three classic bike races and numerous car heats that left no-one in doubt of the older machines’ abilities to prove their mettle.

Classic bikes and cars geared up for racing action organised by Dunboyne Motor Club, which arranged track heats for the heavily-modified vintage vehicles. Classic cars from three eras took part in races, including a heat for pre ’55 antique Irish cars.

Mullingar Vintage club members were out in force with their classics, and visitors were both surprised and delighted to see vintage vehicles from over the pond brought to display by the Midland American Auto Club.

This year, the focus of Carole Nash Classic Car & Motorcycle Live shone on BMW, with the Motorsport Museum rolling out the historic BMW M1 Procar especially. The BMW E30 Owners club displayed their prized vehicles at the event (and enjoyed free entry – as did all BMW owners as part of the day’s celebrations).

Sponsoring the event, the Carole Nash team had plenty in store for visitors, handing out goodie bags and balloons to the youngest bike enthusiasts in attendance.

At Carole Nash, we’re already gearing up for our next Irish event – the Waterford Motorcycle Fest, scheduled for July 10th to 11th.
