Carole Nash Classic Car & Motorcycle Live 2016

The oldies are the best at the Classic Car & Motorcycle Live 2016 Show

The ninth annual Classic Car & Motorcycle Live show proved as popular as ever in 2016 – despite the inclement weather!

Not even an Irish downpour could dampen the spirits as fans flocked to Mondello Park for a day of racing events, exhibitions, displays and demos.

Among the highlights were some of the bikes on display from the Dunboyne Motor Club and the Irish Veteran and Vintage Motorcycle Club, while three Championship Races were run by Classic Bike Racing Ireland.

Classic cars, magical memories

In total, more than 500 classic cars and motorcycles were on show.

Playing all day in the BMW Ireland suite was some remarkable footage from the opening of Mondello Park back in 1968.

And with BMW celebrating 100 years, the event featured a number of BMW-themed exhibits – including Martin Birrane’s rare BMW M1 Procar and the Benetton B186 Formula One car.

Smiles galore at Mondello Park

With so much going on, the rain never stood a chance of getting in the way of everyone’s enjoyment.

Classic car and bike enthusiasts got a close-up look at some of the country’s most impressive vehicles. The collection on show was fascinating, so it wasn’t a surprise to see plenty of cameras as the crowds made sure to grab snaps of all their favourites – as well as a few cheeky selfies.

Away from the exhibitions, there were numerous races throughout the day featuring classic cars, classic motorbikes and Japanese imports.

It all made for a fantastic atmosphere, with families enjoying a super Saturday as they took everything in.

Winning with Carole Nash

As you’d expect, Carole Nash was in the thick of the action, especially when one lucky visitor to the Carole Nash stand scooped €250 off an insurance policy in our free prize draw.

Our stand attracted plenty of interest in the paddock area, with the crowds finding out more about us and discovering the white-knuckle super bike experience of the insidebikes app powered by Carole Nash. Have you tried it yet?
