A weekend of brilliance at the Carole Nash MCN Scottish Motorcycle Show 2019

Edinburgh has never looked better than it did in March, when bikers from all corners of the UK and beyond descended on the Scottish capital for 48 hours of biking glory at the Carole Nash MCN Scottish Motorcycle Show 2019.

Even with the unexpected arrival of some light snow – and a misplaced fire alarm unexpectedly going off! – there was no doubting the enjoyable nature of this free-wheeling weekend in bonny Scotland.

The Royal Highland Centre looks glorious when it’s filled with biking goodies. But throw in a few thousand bike fans and it suddenly looks better than ever.

Autograph hunters had been tipped off to bring their books and they were in for a treat with a string of high-profile guests making their way through the hall. The Mini Moto also proved a big hit, giving the smaller attendees their first taste of life on two wheels through Honda’s ‘My First Licence’ experience.

Starting up some scorching bikes!

There were plenty of other attractions to keep the crowds entertained, including some incredible stunts in the Scottish Stunt Freestyle Championship 2019 and a collection of eye-catching beauties from Alba Customs and Clydebank-based House of Custom.

A handful of jaw-dropping bikes also attracted plenty of attention when they were started up in front of attendees. The 296kg Harley Davidson Softail FXFBS Fat Bob 114 from West Coast Harley Davidson let rip with its 1,870cci engine – showing precisely why its price-tag is just a shade under £20,000.

TV personality Guy Martin also brought his bike along, while the £18,000 Indian Scout Bobber ‘Project Asbo’ owned by Peter Kay also went down spectacularly well.
